Skills Johor Convocation Ceremony 2017 was abuzz with excitement as apprentices and their guests shared their joy during the Convocation Ceremony on 10 October 2017. The Convocation Ceremony held in Dataran Mahkota, Kota Iskandar was officiated by the Johor State EXCO Council of Unity and Human Resources, Mr. R. Vidyananthan.

Present at the Convocation Ceremony were Dato’ Bruce Lim Aun Choong, Executive Director of Skills Johor and Ms. Noor Azita Mamat, Senior Manager of Human Resource Development Fund.
70 apprentices who received the certificate are among 500 graduates that have successfully completed the training in various fields such as Scaffolding Programme, Food and Beverage, Individual Support and Retail. Skills Johor's apprentices not only have completed the training and obtain the certificates, they will commence work as soon as they finished the training!

Skills Johor believes that the education in Malaysia has a strategic role to play in developing sustainable skilled workforce locally. Skills Johor is the first technical and vocational skills training hub in Malaysia and has been awarded the status of an accredited Master Administrator by the Skills Development Department under the Ministry of Human Resources. Skills Johor’s objective is to improve the employability and entrepreneurship of Malaysian through quality Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), relevant to current and emerging market and industry needs. It serves as a platform to provide and develop suitably skilled workforce for Malaysians and to achieve this end; Skills Johor must be bold and dynamic.
